Many countries implemented national lockdowns of their societies due to the Covid-19 pandemic, while Sweden, which did implement restrictions in daily life, remained relatively open. However, between the first of April and the first of October 2020, the Swedish government imposed a national visiting ban on the country’s elderly care homes, where the death toll rose rapidly. Many older individuals felt anxious about the risk of getting infected and what it would mean not to be able to meet friends and family.

This is a short story about some isolated people in Sweden.
